Sunset Reports supports both “Push” and “Pull” technology

Push technology is a type of Internet-based communication where the request for a given report is initiated by the report server or in this case Sunset Reports report queue. The report is “pushed” to a user via email.

Pull technology by contrast is where the request for the transmission of information is initiated by the user.   Sunset Reports can receive a request via email and then reply with a report or document in a follow up email.

The use of email as the communication technology for Sunset Reports provides the broadest option for all platforms and devices.   It overcomes limitations or restrictions placed by browsers, operating systems, firewalls, network security, etc.
